The details on this section are usually pre-populated by the Support Team and would have been provided by the Nursery on the eyMan set-up form. As part of the initial set up process, the Support Team would also set up the Manager(s) as requested by the Nursery.


It is possible for the user to edit the details on the page below by clicking the ‘Edit’ button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.


Please see an explanation of the different fields on this screen explained below.


  1. The Branch/Nursery name (if only one setting) can be edited here. The checked ‘Active’ indicates that the eyMan system has been activated for the Nursery.
  2. This determines whether a branch is active or inactive - always leave ticked.
  3. The Branch contact details (Address/Phone Number) can be edited here.
  4. The website address of the branch.
  5. The email contact details of the branch.
  6. Select all working days for the nursery including weekends if it is open on Saturday and/or Sunday.
  7. Enter the start time of the nursery. It is very important that this covers all operational functions for staff and children alike, e.g. if the normal session time for children is from 8am, but the nursery also offers an early start session from 7:30am, the operational start time must be earlier or equal to 7:30am.
  8. Enter the finish time of the nursery. It is very important that this covers all operational functions for staff and children alike, e.g. if the normal session time for children finishes at 6pm, but the nursery also offers a late finish session until 6:30pm, the operational finish time must be later or equal to 6:30pm.
  9. Enter the start time of child bookings. This should be equal to the earliest start time of children at the nursery, e.g. if the normal session time for children is from 8am, but you offer an early start session from 7:30am, the Child Bookings start time must be equal to 7:30am.
  10. Enter the finish time of child bookings. This should be equal to the latest time sessions finish at the nursery, e.g. if the normal session time for children finishes at 6pm, but you offer a late finish session until 6:30pm, the Child Bookings finish time must be equal to 6:30pm.
  11. Enter the start time of staff. This should be equal to the earliest shift of a member of staff.
  12. Enter the end time of staff. This should be equal to the latest shift of a member of staff. Please be aware, this needs to include any meetings that may be scheduled after the finish time of child bookings. 
  13. Enter the OFSTED registration number (if different to the DfE registration number).
  14. Enter the Department for Education registration number.
  15. Enter the total capacity of the nursery (the capacity of each room added together).
  16. The Wage % Lower field is used to set a lower tracking band for reporting on wages as a percentage of income. If the wage band is expected to be 45-55% of the total income of the nursery, then one would set this field to be 45%.
  17. The Wage % Upper field is used to set an upper tracking band for reporting on wages as a percentage of income. If the wage band is expected to be 45-55% of the total income of the nursery, then one would set this field to be 55%.
  18. The Step Up rate is a functionality of staff wage management and is set as a monetary figure as an uplift over the basic hourly rate, e.g. if a staff member is paid £5.00 per hour for standard duties but for additional duties £5.75 per hour, then the step up rate is entered as 0.75 in this field. This will be reflected across all staff for any activities that are marked at the Step Up rate.
  19. The currency in which invoices will be raised.
  20. This is a read-only feature and shows the integration settings between the eyLog and eyMan systems and appears here only if the checkbox in Step 14 is enabled.
  21. This should be selected if eyLog is active for this Company/Branch and integrated with eyMan.
  22. The Session Rate Changes field has two options in the drop down – ‘Following week after child birthday’ and ‘Following month after child birthday’. This is a nursery wide setting so that invoices will pick up accurate session changes as per this settings fee structure.
  23. Apply Minimum Booking Fees if required.
  24. This is the unique web address location for access to online registration forms.
  25. This is the unique web address location for access to online enquiry forms
  26. This functionality relates to Invoicing, if this box is checked any un-invoiced sessions from the previous month will be included in the current month’s invoice automatically.
  27. When this is ticked, you are able to add children from the childrens menu. If this is unticked, you can only add children by enrolling them through the enquiries screen.
  28. The Cancel/Edit buttons enable users to edit and save/cancel as required.
